The more I understand, and not from an intellectual perspective, the Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought, the easier my life gets. As I deeply understand the Three Principles my "moment to moment" is more peaceful.
We live in the feeling of our personal thinking from moment to moment. We DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT, live in the feeling of our circumstances. I'll share a short story below.
Recently, I thought I lost something. Now, this something was very important and needed to be found. The thought of losing this thing came up for a few days and then one day I did a lot of running around trying to find it. As I was driving from one location to another it hit me. I was not anxious, worried, or fearful that I had actually lost it. I was sort of at ease and thought to myself, "if it's lost, it's lost". I realized there was nothing more that I could do. I looked in the usual places it should have been and it wasn't there. I remember telling someone, "it will show up when it shows up". I was weirdly at ease.
Our innate wisdom works much in the same way. When we try to overthink our problems, challenges, issues, or however we perceive "those things", most times we only frustrate ourselves and become more "stuck in our head". We think and think and think and internalize and analyze and get nowhere. But, when we let our thinking settle and our mind clear, we have a much better chance of solving whatever it is we are attempting to solve. And if we don't solve it then and there, we left it go, our innate wisdom will show itself when it wants to.
So here's a thought...next time you have a problem/issue/challenge that you are trying to solve, let it go. Let your thinking settle and let it come to you when it comes to you. Don't try to analyze it and figure it out (and this comes from someone who prided themselves on being analytical). Trust that the answer will come to you when it comes and when you are ready to hear it.
One last thought before I wrap this up. When we think that our feelings or our quality of life comes from "out there" or to put it another way, our circumstances, we will always be searching for the next best tool, tip, or trick or "thing" that will make us feel better. Or what we believe will "heal" our body, mind and soul. We will constantly be searching, searching, and searching. (more on that in the future) (Spoiler alert...we all have perfect mental health, problem is our thoughts get in the way)
I'll wrap up with this and repeat it because I can never repeat it enough. We live in the feeling of our personal thinking from moment to moment. We DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT live in the feeling of our circumstances.
Until next time,
Jackson Brown
