One of the things I love about the Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought is the knowing that there is nothing wrong with us. We all have perfect mental wellbeing. I'll say it again...we all have perfect mental wellbeing. You don't need to be fixed. You don't need a major overhaul. There is nothing wrong with you. We were made to be present and be in relationships. We were not designed to be glued to our phones, the tv, or watching the news and what next terrible thing there is out in the world and then ruminate in those thoughts and get ourselves worked up.
We have perfect mental wellbeing...until we get stuck in our thoughts
We have perfect mental wellbeing...until we grab a thought and believe it has to be 100% real
We have perfect mental wellbeing...until we think what we are feeling is being caused by the world around us
We have perfect mental wellbeing...until we come out of the present moment and start to find things to think about
We have perfect mental wellbeing...until we feel a feeling and then think we need to analyze our circumstances to figure out where that feelings is coming from
I go could on and on. But the common theme is once we get stuck in our thoughts (which I absolutely still do) we come out of the present moment and start to look at our circumstances or the circumstances of the world and blame them for the feelings we are experiencing in the moment. (which is a simple misunderstanding)
Stay present and remember that there is nothing wrong with you. You already have perfect mental wellbeing. And when you come from that place, and stop thinking there is something wrong with you and that you are broken, you'll start to feel that inner peace that is already there waiting to come out and be felt. It's already inside you. Happiness, joy, peace, etc. is already inside of you. Those things are not out in the world.
Until next time,
Jackson Brown
